Pipa Cudahy

Artist's Statement

Living a nomadic, solitary childhood. Learning life lessons from animals both living and literary.

My art reflects my soul connection to all of the animals I revere.
It's always in the eyes.

Same with my portraits, even the human ones.
It's in the eyes.

Teenage years I spent in Japan influence my color choices. Fey Irish tales: my point of view. Connemara: my love of white horses.

And my need to communicate visually...forces me to the page or canvas, always in terror.

I hope you connect to my images.

Comments

Pipa's artwork reflects her love of animals and seeks to connect their life force to our imagination with a special skill for evoking the magic of place. Her portraits and studies of people, too, also connect the viewer to the subject. I am always engaged by her vision.
